Legal changes in Queensland mean employers can request information about pre-existing injuries or medical conditions from potential workers.

New legislation has been in place since late 2013, but one of the leading authorities on the changes has recently explained them in an online talk.

Anne Andersen, Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland, and Lydia Daly, Senior Associate, DibbsBarker, has spoken about what the changes mean for businesses.

She say it is still possible for companies to deliver their workplace health and safety duty of care, while not discriminating against job candidates.

The new laws are detailed in the following video, uploaded by WorkCover Queensland.
