An online tool could spell an end to workplace disputes, disagreements, fights and furphies.

The Federal Government has launched Dispute Support, an online dispute resolution tool for small businesses.

The Minister for Small Business says it has been created in response to calls or alternative dispute resolution services.

“We want to save small businesses time and money, and to help them to quickly and easily find the information they need to resolve their business dispute,” Small Business Minister Bruce Billson says.

Dispute Support is designed for simple use to help small businesses to identify the most appropriate low-cost dispute resolution service for their issue.

The site will also provide information on understanding and managing disputes, as well as tips to help avoid them in the future.

It was developed by the Australian Small Business Commissioner as part of a Federal Government effort to transform the Commissioner into the Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, with more power and extra functions for dispute resolution.
