About the Opportunity
Due to growth in our team, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate People and Culture Advisor to join Lighthouse Disability.
Reporting to the P&C manager, the P&C Advisor will take part in a wide range of HR generalist activities and will be an important part of providing efficient support and advice to employees, managers, and other internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and on-boarding of staff members
- Preparation of employment contracts, and HR related documents/letters
- Providing day-to-day HR Generalist advice, supporting and coaching managers through employment matters and making recommendations.
- Interpretation and implementation of our Enterprise Agreement, Modern Awards, and sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act
- Reviewing and writing procedures and policies
- Keeping accurate staff records
- Assisting and supporting line managers with the management of staff performance, demonstrating outstanding judgement and initiative
- Working closely with staff members, developing, and maintaining professional relationships
- Managing RTW cases by working with case managers and staff members to achieve best possible outcome
- Conducting Workplace investigations with a solid understanding of procedural fairness
- Developing and providing reporting and recommendations on P&C initiatives
About You
- Minimum of 2-3 years generalist HR experience within a small - medium sized organisation - preferably in a service sector (disability, aged care or health would be advantageous)
- Minimum of Diploma qualification or tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- A quick, creative, enthusiastic and solution focused approach
- Highly organised and able to work effectively under competing time pressures (this role is busy!)
- Willingness and ability to support business leaders to implement pragmatic, people focused solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work at a fast-paced operational level
- Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- High proficiency across the Microsoft Office suit, and excellent computer skills
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Some understanding of employment legislation and wanting to learn more
- A desire to contribute, participate and work hard with an incredible team of people across a business that genuinely cares, and as integral part of a small and vibrant People &Culture team
The position is full-time and on-going based in Salisbury SA.
