Salary: $87,460.14 - $96,231.35 pro-rata pa + 9.5% superannuation

Randwick City Council is a leading and innovative local government organisation committed to serving our vibrant community on the beautiful eastern beaches of Sydney. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join an energetic, forward thinking and achievement focused Human Resources team.

The experienced team work collaboratively to engage employees through valued support and education whilst caring for their welfare and creating a safe and respectful work environment.

This fantastic opportunity would suit an experienced HR generalist professional with a proven track record supporting professional and operational workforces. You will need strong experience in an industrial environment underpinned with relevant tertiary qualifications and a passion to contribute to our high performance and values based culture.

To be considered for this position your application must demonstrate how you meet the following criteria:

  • Highly developed influencing, relationship building and customer service skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in human resource functions including:
    • Business partnering
    • Coaching and mentoring
    • Change management
    • Management of ER/IR issues
    • Interpretation and application of relevant legislation and regulations
    • Recruitment and selection
    • Attraction and retention
    • Performance management
    • Remuneration, reward and recognition
  • High level problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues or problems and recommend strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolving them.
  • Experience in the development, review and application of human resource policies, programs and practices.
  • Demonstrated capacity to undertake human resource projects and implement related initiatives, including the ability to initiate and respond effectively to change.
  • Experience in the use of and analytical interpretation of a human resource information systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, often under tight time constraints, to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
  • Class C drivers’ licence.
