City Conversations Coordinator

Salary: AUD 54,856 per annum plus Superannuation
Employment status: Temporary - up until June 2019
Employment arrangement: Part-Time 21.75 hours per week
Location: Sydney CBD

The Community Relations - City Conversations team engage key federal, state and local strategic stakeholders, citizens, partners and visitors of the city through an annual program of events including the CityTalks series, Small Business Digital 101 Seminars, a large one day summit, forums, a series of community workshops, roundtables and briefings, which engage stakeholders enabling them to contribute to decision making.
Help us to inspire, educate and engage the decision makers, thought leaders, partners, stakeholders and the community on significant issues at global, national and city level by being a member of our dynamic team.
In this exciting role you will assist in coordinating and delivering end to end events, including: coordinating technical support for a range of events, working with external event suppliers, managing registrations, preparing floor plans, managing volunteers and ushers, coordinating ticketing and guest services onsite at events.
To be successful, you should have:
- strong knowledge and practical experience in building, developing and sending electronic invitations, confirmations and reminder communications using Certain Software EventsPro or EventsAIR.
- ablity to demonstrate your understanding to adhere to procurement guidelines and timeframes.
- ability to demonstrate your highly developed computer skills with an understanding of digital technology.
- effective interpersonal and communication skills to maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, community members and individuals.
- extensive experience in event management, including demonstrated experience in delivering an operational program for a range of events.
