Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Risk and Compliance

About the role

The Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Risk and Compliance is a senior role within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) which has the scope and accountability for promoting a strong risk and compliance culture across the Enterprise’s project portfolios, business improvement initiatives and change activities. The role ensures all portfolio, program, project and change risks and issues are identified, recorded and managed using the Risk Management Frameworks. This position is located in our new Geelong Office.

Some key accountabilities:

  • Leading strategic and project based risk and compliance management for all portfolios within the EPMO
  • Provide assurance that each program of work identifies and communicates any introduced or changed risks into the existing Business Risk & Compliance Register
  • Maturing, implementing and delivering a technical and project risk and compliance framework, tightly linked with WorkSafe’s Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework across all portfolios
  • Critically analysing risks and issues to draw out causes, controls and treatments
  • Providing specialist expert risk and compliance advice which is both pragmatic and commercial to Steering Committees, Program Sponsors and program and project teams, the WorkSafe business and WorkSafe’s senior stakeholders and commercial partners

About you

You are an experienced Senior Leader with strong technology and operational risk experience. Your communication and organisational skills are highly developed as stakeholder engagement is key within the role.

More specifically you will have:

  • Demonstrated capability in waterfall and agile based programs and a good working knowledge of human centred design, user experience design and lean principles.
  • In-depth understanding of program, project and change risk and compliance.
  • A results-oriented track record.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Extensive stakeholder management and influencing skills

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification/ post graduate qualification ideally in Project Management or Strategic Risk Management
  • 5+ years portfolio/ program risk management experience
