About the role

The People Experience Coordinator is the first point of contact for all people related queries incoming to the People Experience Centre. Providing outstanding customer service, this role is accountable for the provision of client focused, contemporary HR solutions across the employee lifecycle, to employees and contractors of WorkSafe Victoria.

This role supports the People Experience Centre Team to respond, or triage all queries efficiently and effectively, facilitating an early intervention approach, in accordance with WorkSafe Victoria’s People and Culture policies and procedures.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • In conjunction with the Team Leader People Experience and P & C Business Partnering team, educate people leaders and employees on the interpretation and application of the Victorian WorkCover Authority Enterprise Agreement, policies and practices and associated services.
  • Confidently and promptly respond to HR related matters including managing email, teams, phone and in-person queries to closure. This may involve analysis and investigation to resolve issues or triaging and escalating to the Centres of Excellence within People and Culture. Always ensuringthat follow-up and ongoing client interface and communication is maintained until the issue is resolved.
  • Be a champion of and a Subject Matter Expert in, HR policies and procedures, the WSV Enterprise Agreement and Success Factors/PeopleCentral (HRIS system) whilst working closely with the Team Leader People Experience, Workplace Relations and P & C Business Partnering team.
  • Engage with the business to understand the bespoke operational environments of WorkSafe’s diverse internal client groups, situational context and political overlays, to deliver nuanced, quality advice.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient and effective People Experience Centre processes and procedures and provide input into cyclical policy review.
  • Establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder and service provider relationships.

About you

You have experience as a generalist HR professional who is passionate about all things People and Culture. Your communication and organisational skills are exemplary and you have a proven track record of outstanding customer service. You are a team player who enjoys making an impact on your team and stakeholders.

  • Previous experience in a HR environment/role.
  • A solid understanding of employment legislation, industrial awards and agreements and the ability to provide sound HR advice.
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience using a HRIS system such as SAP Success Factors and intermediate-advanced competency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to set work priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to client-service.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of end-to-end process.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise in a professional and sensitive level with diverse internal and external clients/stakeholder groups.
  • Strong ability to undertake effective research and analyse materials.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to educate others and facilitate learning.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR and/or related disciplines desirable.
