About the opportunity

BP is transforming convenience retail in Australia. An exciting opportunity has become available for a high-impact and experienced HR leader to be part of this transformation, bringing their deep passion and expertise in ‘people’ and truly partnering with the VP Sales & Marketing.

Based in our Australian Head Office and reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager - Sales & Marketing leads a team of 7 (HR Business Partners and HR Officers) and is a strategic partner to the VP Sales & Marketing.

You will provide strategic insight, challenge and innovation to drive impactful interventions to deliver the people plan and enable the business to achieve its transformational goals.

A key member of both the Sales & Marketing and AsPac HR leadership teams, this role brings a balance of functional expertise and business acumen to the table and champions BP’s values to sustain and improve a high-performing, caring and commercial culture.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner Sales & Marketing senior leaders to build organizational capability in creating and sustaining high performing, engaged teams who take full advantage of opportunities on offer
  • Coach HR Business Partners to intervene, innovate and provide support to the business on reward, performance, ER and talent interventions
  • Provide HR consultation, analytics, insights and advice to senior leadership and lead on complex and/or sensitive ER cases where appropriate
  • Assess external trends and bring expertise to positively disrupt the business and HR and lead change programs
  • Ensure the delivery of reliable, compliant and secure HR operations

About you

You’re an experienced, passionate and confident HR Manager who has an ability to operate strategically and drive high value impact.

You will bring:

  • Degree qualification in HR, Business, Organisational Psychology or similar
  • Proven technical capability and experience in strategic talent management, ER, change management, and organisational development
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to build capability, coach and drive high performance
  • Track record of effective strategic partnering and executive level coaching
  • Demonstrated ability to apply business acumen and clearly link value to business results
  • Experience of organisational change management and working in a matrixed organization is highly desired
