About the opportunity 

Operating within a high volume and complex service environment, the Senior Manager, Student Centre will work collaboratively with stakeholders across Faculties and Professional Services Units to lead customer service excellence through the implementation of evidence based approaches and continuous improvement approaches to the efficient and effective delivery of enquiry services delivered by the SAS Student Centre.

The incumbent is responsible for establishing and implementing evidence based approaches to resource planning, priority setting and strategic decision making, maximising the application of insights from data, consultation, benchmarking and other relevant information. The Student Centre is the first point of contact for future students, current students, internal stakeholders and the general public to receive advice, assistance and support on student administration related enquiries and transactions, within a call centre and in-person service-centric environment.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Student Centre, who possesses demonstrated expertise in:

  • problem solving.

You will work under broad direction from the Deputy Registrar, with a considerable degree of autonomy to manage an area with strategic University-wide significance. You will need to exercise sound judgement on the escalation of issues, firstly within the DVC Registrar’s portfolio. The successful candidate will have the authority to proactively apply sound analysis, identify and prioritise issues and develop compliant and best practice solutions to meet the strategic and operational goals of the Student Centre.

The position makes operational and resource-based decisions in the context of the Student Centre and budget, and the strategy for student administration and related processes and services. Relevant Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience is essential for this role.
