About the opportunity
The Learning Designer will work in close collaboration with instructional design and media production team members to support business school academics by designing, developing, implementing and assessing engaging, technology informed learning experiences. They will be a key member of the team that supports the design and implementation of technology informed approaches to pedagogical change. They will work closely with the Educational Development team to integrate technology and innovative pedagogical approaches into our pedagogical change programs. They will support teaching staff in the areas of online, hybrid, and interactive learning, including enhancing the use of the university’s Learning Management System and associated plugins (Canvas). They will develop, pilot and collaborate on innovative approaches to education and training technology integration.

- tertiary qualifications in instructional/educational technology, education, learning design, information technology, multimedia design, or other relevant qualifications
- knowledge and experience in implementing emerging technology informed innovations in teaching and learning within a tertiary education environment or equivalent
- the ability to identify and apply technology for continuous innovation in learning content delivery
- excellent communication, independence and team work skills
- the ability to take initiative, problem solve and prioritise work
- experience negotiating and influencing around learning technology problems
- experience designing and developing engaging interactive online and blended experiences
- experience adapting, designing and/or co-developing applications for technology enabled learning environments.
Educational Innovation in Business (EIB) is a service and support team that proactively works towards the goal of quality in both teaching and learning. Activities range from one-on-one consultations, educational innovation and development project support, to professional development programs designed to facilitate and share effective learning and teaching innovation at discipline and School levels. EIB is part of the portfolio of the Associate Dean (Education) and works closely with the new Educational Development team to deliver pedagogical change.
