The City of Moreland is a fast-growing city and home to more than 170,000 residents who are culturally and linguistically diverse, speaking more than 140 different languages.  We are seeking an events specialist who is motivated by the opportunity to work with staff across Council to showcase our achievements.  

Reporting to the Team Leader Civic Protocols, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering key Council events, ensuring they support the achievement of Council’s goals, policies and strategies. You will have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team and a demonstrated commitment to generating positive outcomes through discussion, collaboration and thinking on your feet. Reviewing and learning from each event will be an essential part of your approach.

Flexibility to attend events after hours and on weekends is a must, as is the capacity to plan, organise and manage a number of events and projects at the same time.

If you have a degree or diploma in event management and/or extensive experience in delivering successful events with multiple stakeholders and want to join a progressive organisation with a customer centric and values driven ethos, then this role may be the one for you.
