Taronga seeks a confident and energetic HR Advisor to join the People, Culture & Safety team.

About the role

The role is a 12-month parental leave cover.

Working alongside a dynamic HR team, this role provides trusted and expert advice and administrative services to managers and employees across the full employment lifecycle. Additionally, the role will contribute to delivering People, Culture & Safety initiatives and projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries for specific client groups, providing advisory services to managers in performance management, employee relations and compliance with people policies and procedures.
  • Coaching and guiding managers to build people management capability.
  • End-to-end support and coordination of key people processes, including job evaluations, performance management, new employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support HR and Payroll activities, including position management, workforce planning (headcount and budget forecasting), recruitment and on/offboarding.
  • Assist with employee relations cases, including dispute management and investigations.
  • Work closely with the People & Talent Administrator to assist with HR-related documentation preparation.
  • Reporting, analytics and insights on people metrics (as required)

About you

 We are looking for a dynamic and well-rounded HR generalist with a customer-first focus. You will be tertiary qualified, enjoy working in an operational and hands-on environment, and understand Australian and IR frameworks and employment legislation.

Sound Excel skills, SuccessFactors (or similar HRIS) experience and accreditation in Mercer CED job evaluation methodology is desirable.
