 Work Health and Safety Officer

 

Boulia Shire Council is seeking an experienced, outcomes-driven and forward-thinking person with an eye for detail to undertake the role of Work Health and Safety Officer. We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for keeping people safe at work.

This role will also include managing the Council’s corporate insurances such as Worker’s Compensation, assets, plant and fleet.

Employment will be subject to; favourable pre-employment medical, security screening and reference checking.

Salary Range: Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017 - Level 3 – $53,378.08 plus annual bonuses: $2,500 Attraction and Retention, $1,250 Work Health and Safety, and Locality Allowance $2,600/annum and $105.00 per week over-award payment in accordance with Boulia Shire Council’s Certified Agreement.

Council also offers 9.5 percent superannuation initially, and then 12 percent after the successful completion of 12 months service, five weeks annual leave, 15 days sick leave, and a possibility of subsidised Council accommodation (if available).
