Purpose of Position
This position provides Occupational Rehabilitation and Workplace Injury Management Services to ISLHD staff. This position also provides practical guidance and assistance to management and staff participating in ISLHD return to work programs. The aim of this support is to ensure injured workers are able to achieve timely, efficient and sustainable return to work outcomes.

Please note: Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

  • Qualifications in a relevant health related discipline (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, other allied health and Nursing) and /or a minimum of 12 months relevant demonstrated experience in the provision of Occupational Rehabilitation Case Management, including application of the WorkCover Return to Work. Including NSW WorkCover Return to Work Coordination accreditation or WorkCover exemption.
  • Up to date Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation legislation and WorkCover Guidelines, risk management and claims management.
  • Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven skills in facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated high level organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to travel.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of PC based system including Word, Excel and Access.
