About the Role
Darebin City Council’s Office of the CEO is going through an exciting expansion period, and we’re seeking enthusiastic, innovative and talented people to join our organisation. We’re passionate about delivering best-practice service to our vibrant community.

In this busy and rewarding role, you will work closely with the Civic Events Officer to provide executive and administrative support services to the Mayor and Councillors in the Office of the Chief Executive and direct support to the Executive Officer to the Chief Executive Officer.

The Executive Officer is responsible for the preparation, collation and distribution of business papers, agendas and other documents and correspondence. This role will also research, prioritise and follow up on issues and concerns on behalf of the CEO, Mayor and Councillors including those of a sensitive or confidential nature

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration and/or extensive relevant experience and expertise
  • Knowledge of and experience in providing professional advisory, research and executive administrative support to an executive level position within a complex organisation
  • Ability to manage a dynamic workload with competing priorities and handle complex and sensitive situations whilst providing excellent customer service
  • Strong organisational skills including prioritising multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making capability with proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

You will need a flexible availability to be able to attend out of hours meetings including Council meetings, community events and briefing sessions.
