Additional information:

  • This role is permanent full time
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 1 in 4 weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday) and some public holidays. 
  • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction.
  • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
  • The internal job title for this role is Unit People & Culture Manager.

About this work area

As People & Culture Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement the Co-worker Relations plan for the store and ensure the labour relations principles, local policies, procedures and laws are followed on a store level.
  • Secure the Global and Country People Strategy and ensure principles/guidelines are executed operationally through the store business plan and other local initiatives. 
  • Build and develop a robust relationship with the Market Manager by playing an advisory role and providing specialist knowledge. Through business partnering, ensure they are well informed on all people topics such as performance, succession and confidential business matters.
  • Business partner with the Senior Store Management team and execute all people activities.
  • Secure the store competence and development plan and influence the Store Management team to continuously develop local leadership capabilities within their departments, to ensure IKEA meets our customers with knowledgeable and competent Co-workers. 
  • Secure a succession process and plan by influencing managers in taking the lead with focus on developing talents.
  • Lead and develop the store People and Culture team to provide an excellent Co-worker experience in new and innovative ways.
  • Play a pivotal role as part of the Senior Store Management team to drive and secure the local business plan, whilst providing support with store operations where required including Duty Manager shifts and more.

Who you are

As People & Culture Manager you are:

  • Passionate and driven to lead and create an engaging Co-worker experience with the store.
  • An adept and experienced Human Resources leader with strong business acumen. 
  • Able to influence and steer the business on key people topics in collaboration with your Senior Store Management team. 
  • Strategic, tactical and operationally minded to lead, secure and contribute to the local, Country and Global people strategy.
