What you'll be doing

The National Safety and Quality Health Service Accreditation Manager position provides  leadership, and delivers relevant strategic and operational direction and  high level expert advice to all levels of staff and services across NSLHD, including Hospital and Service Executive teams, Network Leads and line managers, on accreditation requirements and processes, ensuring the district’s compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them .
  2. Tertiary qualifications in a Health related field and/or extensive experience in a health care environment.
  3. Demonstrated experience in NSQHS and accreditation surveys.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice on accreditation, quality improvement and safety programs.
  5. Demonstrated high level of leadership, motivation, initiative, organisational and time management skills, with an ability to work independently with limited supervision, prioritise workload and deliver outcomes within time frames.
  6. Capacity to produce professional written materials including plans, analysis, reports and recommendations to inform decision making.
  7. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and liaison with well-developed oral communication skills including oral presentations, developing and delivering education programs.
  8. Demonstrated experience in project management including the development, implementation and monitoring of project initiatives.
