We are seeking an experienced Diversity & Inclusion Manager to join our People & Capability team in a part time capacity (24 hours per week) based in our Store Support Office in Williams Landing in West Melbourne.

What will you do?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Diversity & Inclusion professional to drive and develop Target’s diversity and inclusion agenda.  This role will partner with the broader People and Capability team to embed Diversity and Inclusion into all people initiatives. You will also provide advice to a range of stakeholders on strategic and operational diversity, inclusion and workforce planning initiatives and activities.

Other key responsibilities may include:

  • Design and develop diversity and inclusion strategy and supporting initiatives in line with P&C strategy and overall business strategy
  • Coordinate diversity and inclusion programs, including set up of working groups and project teams
  • Partner with P&C to ensure diversity and inclusion initiatives and measures are in place across the Target group of companies
  • Manage cross functional relationships to ensure consistency in program implementation, and network across brand and within industry to gain understanding of best practice
  • Develop and implement action plans across Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, People with Disability and Gender Balance in Leadership roles action plan

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline and demonstrated experience in a similar role.  Demonstrated experience in designing, delivering and measuring Diversity & Inclusion strategic initiatives is essential as is proven experience in coaching, challenging and educating business leaders in how they drive culture D&I in their business, ability to quickly build rapport, communicate and engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders along with a ‘can do’ attitude and customer first mentality.
