Reporting directly into the GM of People & Culture the Head of Support Office HR & Talent Acquisition leads the delivery of operational and strategic human resource and talent acquisition activities. Be accountable for delivering high-quality people and culture services, project delivery, continuous improvement initiatives, leadership, and development of a multi-disciplined team. 

  • 12 Month Fixed term contract (4 days)

  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of seven

About the opportunity:

  • Provide advice and support in the management and oversight of people-related issues and activities.
  • Design and deliver the Myer People Strategy, specifically related to SSO HR, as well as policies and procedures to meet business needs
  • Design and lead the delivery of Myer wide talent acquisition activities.
  • Influence and support Senior Managers as well as providing leadership to SSO HR & TA teams, with the delivery of sound and seamless HR operational processes and systems
  • Introduce and develop strategies that underpin the Myer Values and build a strong capable working culture
  • Be a trusted adviser to Senior Leaders by providing rigorous coaching and decision making in relation to strategic business opportunities
  • Provide operational design and support in employee engagement and workforce optimisation

About the role:

  • Demonstrated experience providing senior leadership for a business partnering and talent acquisition team in a large organisation.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or similar
  • Proven experience in solving complex and/or technical HR related business issues using a variety of approaches to drive culture, change, high performance, effective leadership, customer and employee experience and well-being
  • Ability to work with ambiguity on multiple projects and the delivery to tight timeframe
  • Demonstrate successful delivery of operational strategies that accelerate business performance and reputation
  • Skilled at positively influencing major commercial decisions ensuring productive stakeholder relationships at all times (excellent commercial acumen)
  • Lead significant change programs to achieve the desired outcomes whilst demonstrating the successful application of change management principle
  • Prior experience leading a team with exposure in further growing and developing a high performing HR team
