To lead our Newcastle team in OHS best practice, we are seeking an experienced OHS professional to step into the Regional OHS Advisor position.

The Job Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Manager OHS, you will be responsible for guiding and assisting the line managers, consultants and clients to ensure a safe and healthy place of work for all employees, candidates, contractors and visitors.

Your previous experience will include;

* Involvement in all aspects of onsite safety management to enable successful implementation of well-planned and developed systems and programs that reflect best practice within the industry and the broader community.

* Contributing to developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating procedures and guidelines.

* Identification and assessment for control of hazards.

* Training and development of staff regarding workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.

* Facilitating businesses within the group to ensure that candidate and employee OH&S training is conducted with 100% compliance

* Monitoring workplace related injuries and liaising with Branch Managers and clients to improve safety standards on sites.

* Use specialist knowledge to build relationships with key OHS contacts, including middle and senior management, within CMG client base.

* Contribute to the review and implementation of the CMG National OHS System.



The Successful Candidate

* At least 5 years' experience in an occupational health and safety role

* OHS Diploma

* Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training

* Extensive understanding of OHS legislation

* Collaborative and consultative approach to driving health and safety business improvement

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
