Kick start the new year with this exciting opportunity to lead and influence community events and festivals in Hume City!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the co-ordination of five major events and festivals, plus other Council activations, and support community groups to host their own celebrations locally.

Our successful applicant will effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships; ensure all risk management and safety requirements are met; attract and oversee sponsorship and grant applications; and support the marketing and promotion of events and festivals.

We're looking for someone with great time and financial management skills,
loads of energy and enthusiasm to lead and grow a small team and deliver outstanding customer service.

If you are passionate about creating events and festivals that are dynamic and responsive to community needs, this position is ideal for you.

Tertiary qualifications in events management, marketing or a related discipline with experience in leisure, event management, or significant relevant experience in events management with lesser formal qualifications, is essential.

Key Skills

    1. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, promote and evaluate events and festivals to achieve Council objectives
    2. Demonstrated understanding of OH&S, public liability and risk management issues in relation to the staging of large scale events and festivals.
    3. Ability to work with a variety of groups, organisations and individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
