Coordinator Internal Communications (100531) 

*$95,266 pa (Band 7) plus super * Temporary full time to December 2019


This is an exciting opportunity to lead and influence internal communications at Hume City Council.

In this position, you will provide strategic advice on all facets of internal communication and deliver internal events, campaigns, publications, intranet, social media and merchandise.

Our successful applicant will deliver outstanding customer service, have great time and financial management skills, loads of energy and enthusiasm, and be able to lead and grow a small team.

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or public relations, or less formal qualifications with extensive demonstrated experience in a marketing, communications, public relations, or similar field.

Key Skills

  • Research, plan, deliver and evaluate strategic internal communication campaigns to improve staff awareness of Hume City and Council's services, facilities, events and activities.
  • Co-ordinate the development and delivery of Council's internal communications including printed publications, social media, online and digital communications.
  • Lead and positively influence staff to ensure behaviours align with Council's values and compliance with organisational processes and procedures.
