Human Resources Business Partner

 

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position partners with the business to provide sustainable Human Resources (HR) solutions.  The HRBP provides high level advice and contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of the HR policies and processes to deliver timely, compliant, and consistent HR services that support Stadiums Queensland’s (SQ’s) business operations.

Key tasks include:

  • Deliver HR expertise, advice and support to provide best practice HR practices in the management of performance, HR planning, recruitment and selection and sensitive matters such as investigations and employee grievances.
  • Prepare, review and develop submissions on HR matters including recommendation reports following investigations.
  • Provide effective and timely job analysis, design, position description development and job evaluation service across SQ and contribute to the maintenance of an accurate register of profiles. 
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, practices and guidelines to delivering practical solutions in accordance with legislation, policy and procedure.
  • Develop and maintain positive, constructive and consultative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake consultation and contribute to the development and implementation of key HR projects and initiatives, including the training and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in workforce planning, culture and organisational change initiatives, and contribute to building a collaborative culture of “OneSQ” aligned with the core values.
  • Case manage workers compensation, rehabilitation and return to work for SQ employees, in accordance with the Legislative framework and SQ’s policies and procedures. 
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and management of an effective Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to support the organisations HRM practises. 
  • Provide specialist advice, interpretation, education and support to SQ staff on the full range of HR initiatives, Enterprise Agreement, Award, legislation policies, procedures and practices. 

The organisation:

SQ is charged with the management of major sports facilities that are declared under Queensland Government regulation as being venues having the capacity to stage national or international sports events, recreational or entertainment experiences. SQ’s portfolio of venues include Suncorp Stadium, The Gabba, Sleeman Sports Complex, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Cbus Super Stadium, Queensland Tennis Centre and Heritage Bank Stadium.
