We are seeking a driven, energetic and strategic senior marketing communication professional to join our Corporate Affairs team. You will be part of Brand and Marketing team working closely with the Growth team, leveraging their knowledge to implement integrated marketing solutions to drive awareness, engagement and advocacy.

As part of the Corporate Affairs team, you’ll bring both strategic advisor experience and experience in hands-on delivery with demonstrated success in devising, implementing, and evaluating high-impact marketing and communication activities. You are extremely organised with strong relationship and project management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders including CSIRO staff, agency partners, government, universities, and industry.

Your duties will include:

  • Create, execute and measure marketing-communication activity that support CSIRO's customer communication, engagement and lead generation.
  • Deliver campaigns and events that raise CSIRO's profile in target markets (including international), to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Manage constructive relationships with external agencies to deliver campaign objectives. 
  • Create engaging and relevant content for our target audiences.
  • Show initiative and work effectively as a member of a highly distributed team to deliver high quality outcomes autonomously. 
  • Communicate openly, effectively and respectfully with all staff, clients and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of CSIRO’s reputation.
  • Build and maintain team-focused relationships across all areas of the Corporate Affairs team, sharing knowledge and working together in pursuit of the development and promotion of best practice Communication management.

Location: All CSIRO sites considered
Salary: AU$105,806 - AU$114,500 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:

  • Five years + experience with a relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant work experience in marketing communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of marketing communication campaigns to successfully reach target audiences.
  • Proven skills in building strong relationships with stakeholders to develop organisational and cross-functional marketing communication initiatives that translate into program participation.
  • Strong writing skills, especially relating to the development of content to showcase the impact of our SME programs, marketing collateral and campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing media and social media to reach intended audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing circumstances to achieve team objectives.
