Play a pivotal role within the state government’s transport space and be responsible for providing targeted data and performance reporting.
You will:
- Work with the Safety Management System & Reporting Specialist to design, develop and implement customised WHS reports for stakeholders across the agency
- Analyse WHS data and identify trends and emerging issues
- Lead the delivery of monthly reporting to senior management to enable high levels of WHS compliance and performance
- Act as the primary point of contact for local and regional WHS staff and Industry Partners for safety data capture to ensure accurate and consistent reporting is provided
Role Dimensions:
- Independently analyse and synthesise data, and seek support from directors and other managers when appropriate
- Proactively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to determine WHS risk information requirements
- Analyse the WHS data content and provide expert advice on the implications of existing WHS programs and potential initiatives to proactively identify trends and emerging issues
Essentials:
- Tertiary qualifications at a minimum level of Advanced Diploma or Graduate Diploma in WHS Management or related discipline.
- At least 7 years’ experience in establishing corporate WHS reporting in high risk and diverse environments
- Extensive experience in the application of contemporary WHS reporting methodologies
- Superior oral and written communication skills and proven understanding and ability to synthesise and analyse a range of complex information, succinctly and appropriately articulate the results and recommend actions to an executive and senior management audience
- Sound knowledge and understanding of NSW WHS legislation and its application to hazardous industries
