OHS Coordinator 

An excellent career opportunity exists for an experienced OH&S professional to join the Risk & Compliance team. Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, you will ensure Hazeldenes has effective OH&S policies, identify hazards and assess risks to health and safety, put appropriate safety controls in place and provide advice on incident prevention throughout the organisation. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure a compliant OH&S framework  
  • Provide managers and employees with advice relevant to OH&S and Food Safety Regulations
  • Undertake or coordinate investigation into incidents and unsafe working conditions, analyse causes and recommend and implement remedial action
  • Conducting site audits and preparing action plans
  • Conducting risk assessments on plant and equipment
  • Participating in project planning
  • Advising on aspects of Chain of Responsibility
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the Risk and Compliance Team

About you:

To succeed in this role you will have a comprehensive understanding of OH&S ideally within a food manufacturing setting coupled with the ability to develop effective relationships and champion safety throughout the organisation:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent tertiary qualifications 
  • Sound understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory framework
  • Ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders and influence positive outcomes

Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
