HR Coordinator (12 months FTC)

We’re looking for a collaborative, self-motivated and passionate HR star to join us at Snack Brands Australia in the role of HR Coordinator on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to our HR Manager, this 38 hour a week role is based at our Blacktown, Sydney manufacturing plant, with working from home options (at times may require with travel to our other sites, Norwest and Smithfield, so own transport would be required!)

In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing operational support to the HR Advisor at Blacktown across all end to end employee lifecycle actions. You’ll be working closely with our front line leaders and wider HR team to deliver onboarding, training, recruitment, reward & recognition, induction, HR administration and documentation/reporting. 

What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Providing employee relations advice and support to managers on matters covering performance management, conflict resolution, mediation and general support (ensuring legislative compliance - EBA, Fair Work Act, associated legislation and State Awards)
  • Managing the HR admin and documentation across the employee lifecycle (ie: new starter paperwork, transfers)
  • Supporting the Talent Advisor and Hiring Managers with end-to-end recruitment for site-based roles
  • Creating, leading, and completing monthly reporting for the HR function 
  • Building, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders 
  • Supporting the wider team with site-based onboarding and induction activities
  • Assisting in the coordination of training requirements (including designing and facilitating inhouse workshops that align with business requirements) 
  • Applying the principles of equity, diversity and safety in the workplace and behave in accordance with relevant standards, values & policies

What you’ll bring to the role? 

  • Proven experience within a HR role (desirable) - Graduates encouraged to apply!
  • Tertiary qualification with a business or HR related endorsement
  • Solid understanding of AU employment-related legislation
  • Proven skillset in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills – you love working with a range of people daily! 
  • Time management and attention to detail skills that make others green with envy
  • Accountability – you own your decisions and can be counted on to do what you say you will
  • Flexibility, resilience and agility – our industry is ever changing, and we need you to be able to move with it
  • Positivity and a problem solving, solutions-focused approach– you see road bumps as a challenge, not a disaster!
