Federal Government Agency Seeks an APS5/6 Senior HR Advisor, on a 12-month on-going basis.

Your new role

The Senior HR Advisor Recruitment and Onboarding will support the delivery of an end-to-end recruitment service for the agency. Working within a small new team, you will partner with key stakeholders to proactively source, attract and maintain a pipeline of talent for the department.

You will work closely with your manager to understand their unique talent and capabilities needs

required and designed an innovative approach to the attraction and selection of talent.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting onboarding and induction activities for new staff
  • Researching, interpreting and/or applying relevant legislation, enterprise agreements and
  • determinations, employment contracts, policies and procedures
  • Supporting the delivery of HR related programs including national recruitment processes
  • Contributing to the identification and implementation of business process improvements
  • Establishing networks and maintaining relationships, at all levels across the organisation
  • Undertaking reporting, including use of E-Recruit, Microsoft Excel and Aurion

What you'll need to succeed

To be eligible for this position you will need to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) or be willing to obtain one.

Candidates who are permanently employed in the APS are encouraged to apply as a section 26, labour hire, or NGO. Also, candidates who are currently working in a private sector with strong transferable skills, are highly encouraged to apply.
