Safety & Risk Officer

Our client, a community focused eduaction provider is looking to appoint a senior Risk & Compliance professional to implement and enforce safety strategies through the whole organisation.

Based in the south east of Melbourne, this is the perfect opportunity to take ownership implement and enforce strategy surrounding legislative standards and company policies and procedures.

The role will have x3 main areas of focus: Risk, Compliance & Insurance.

Duties may include:

  • Manage internal & external risk management frameworks
  • Incident management
  • Manage various complaints or reports
  • Lead & manage policy development
  • Update compliance register
  • Provide guidance and leadership to colleagues
  • Liaise with various stakeholders

To be considered for this role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Formal qualifications in Risk Management or OHS
  • Strong understading of national legislation and compliance
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Be community minded and work with integrity and honesty at all times
