An amazing opportunity has arisen for a General Manager - Mornington to join our leader team!

This opportunity will see you bring your extensive experience as a senior leader, with proven experience across the hospitality or sporting industries in and event sales role to help us continue on the success and growth of the Mornington business. Your passion and drive will be the thing that sets you apart and you will be commercial astute manager with a true customer focus.

Based at Mornington Racecourse and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this position will see you ultimately responsible for the delivery of our Race Day and Non-Race Day events. You will take ownership of the development and implementation of our corporate sales and events strategy for Mornington and will manage the ideation and delivery of all our race day activations and special events.

You'll be commercially driven and your passion for sales and delivering to financial targets will be what gets you out of bed in the morning! You will not only hold yourself accountable for the businesses success, but you'll also be someone to get the most out of your team - 4 direct reports and 7 indirect reports.

Ideally you will have the following skills and experience;

• Experience in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience in an Event Sales role within a fast paced, high volume environment
• Proven experience in the Hospitality or Sporting industries
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience building high performing teams
• Financial acumen and proven experience with budgeting, forecasting and P&L in various financial markets
• Proven experience in generating new business
• Networking and stakeholder management
• Commerce or related degree preferred
