We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Coordinator with experience in workers compensation and health and wellness to join our ALDI Safety team in the Corporate Office. The role will assist in managing national service providers as well as assisting with the implementation and compliance of Health and Wellness activities. The role is challenging with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all current WHS legislative and ALDI internal requirements are adhered to, and that adequate records are maintained at all times  with utmost confidentiality
  • Assisting in the prevention and minimisation of work-related injuries, including the use of WHS IT systems
  • Coordinating and providing guidance on Injury Management and Health and Wellness activities
  • Liaising, consulting and meeting with the relevant stakeholders, e.g. injured workers, treating practitioners, insurers and regulators
  • Actively managing his/her area of responsibility by using initiative, suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training and development
  • Implementation of projects and managing ongoing business as usual (BAU) support post-implementation
  • Providing support to Directors and National Injury Management Manager

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in workers compensation, rehabilitation and/or return to work from a national role
  • Demonstrated experience in building strategy and roll out of Health and Wellbeing activities
  • A positive outlook and open communication style combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An outcome focused approach with the ability to make decisions and “action” outstanding issues
  • Being highly organised with an ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • The ability to work under pressure and across multiple projects
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances at short notice
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Attributes considered favourably during the selection process:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Injury Management or Health and Wellness
  • University qualifications in Work Health Safety and/or Injury Management
  • Incident investigation experience
  • Experience working with Work Health Safety IT systems (For Example: Cintellate, SolbInjury, Onsite Track Easy)

*Includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location and ALDI experience.
