Do you have previous experience in a generalist HR role? Are you looking to expand your skills and experience in a new environment?

This is an exciting opportunity within a highly regarded Local Government organisation for an energetic and dynamic Advisor to establish themselves during a significant period of change for the sector.

The Human Resources Advisor/Business Partner is responsible for providing practical advice and support to management and staff on operational HR matters including the interpretation of relevant industrial agreements, policies, procedures and contracts.

Utilising your previous generalist experience you will coach managers through a broad range of HR services including employee relations, performance and industrial matters and recruitment and selection.

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and previous experience in a similar HR generalist role
  • Working knowledge of relevant employment legislation
  • Experience in coaching and influencing managers to achieve desired outcomes
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills including attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage changing and competing priorities to meet deadlines
