About the role
This is not a role for the faint hearted. You will lead a multi-award winning HR team. We are looking for a dynamic, driven and innovative Director of Human Resources to further drive and embed our bold vision of being an employer of choice in the Sydney events and hospitality sector. At the very core of the role is the ability to build strong relationships, instil trust and be constantly curious, empowering a large HR team of 22 with 5 direct reports to be their best selves every day. Along with a dedicated and passionate team, you will lead and drive the organisational workforce planning strategy, talent attraction and selection strategy, diversity and inclusion strategy, learning and development strategy and employment relations strategy.

Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading the people strategy to facilitate the achievement of ICC Sydney strategic priorities. You will provide advice and guidance to the CEO, GM, Directors and Department Heads in all matters related to Human Resource Management.

About your experience
We are looking for someone who is driven, innovative and thinks outside of the box to continuously develop ICC Sydney’s employee experience and CSI (continuous small improvements) culture.

You are already working as a HR generalist at an Executive/Director level, must hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Industrial Relations and have a history working within a large multi-faceted fast paced, high volume environment across both blue & white collar environments. You will have a 'hands on' approach, have led a large HR team and previous experience in hospitality, leisure, events, entertainment or retail are highly regarded

  • Outline the unique workforce challenges facing Sydney’s hospitality and event industry in the next 2 to 5 years.
