The role

As a result of an internal restructure, we are currently seeking applications from dedicated and committed HR Advisors to join our Human Resources team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on working in a busy environment and enjoys building strong relationships with people across the whole organisation.

A key focus of the role of Human Resources Advisor is to partner with the Music, Sport and Outdoor Education departments to ensure their people needs are met. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment and selection, induction, performance management and award interpretation.

To succeed in this position the successful candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, organisational development or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a human resources or advisory capacity.
  • Membership of the Australian Human Resources Institute would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of human resource systems to support key functions such as recruitment and selection and onboarding.
  • An extremely high regard for confidentiality, reliability and integrity in respect to all interactions with members of staff and the wider community.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills to support interaction with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills including demonstrated ability to prepare letters / documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a flexible, proactive and responsive manner.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check (or the willingness to undertake a check prior to beginning employment).
