HR Operations Manager, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa

An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake the permanent full-time role of HR Operations Manager forCable Beach Club Resort & Spa. This role seeks a strong HR Generalist with experience across the functions of recruitment, training & development and performance management.

Reporting to the General Manager, a large focus of the role is to facilitate and deliver the recruitment strategy, oversee the completion and delivery of all training programs and to provide guidance and mentoring on various employee relations matters to both staff and management.

Duties will include, but are not be limited to:

  • Providing direction and guidance to a small HR team in the day-to-day delivery of a range of HR functions;
  • The management of all recruitment requirements, including overseeing the recruitment strategy, large scale end-to-end recruitment, management of contract labour needs and the on-boarding function;
  • Providing guidance and support to staff and management on a range of employee relations matters, including preparation of performance management plans and undertaking investigations where necessary;
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are communicated effectively and monitoring compliance of the same;
  • Overseeing all internal and external training needs;
  • Ensuring records and data is kept up to date and maintained in a confidential manner.

To be considered for this position candidates must demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role at management level;
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Awards and the Fair Work Act;
  • Ability to manage large scale recruitment together with successfully balancing various other responsibilities;
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office (Excel and PowerPoint);
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to form strong working relationships with various stakeholders;
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence (desirable);
  • Previous hotel or resort HR experience will be a distinct advantage;
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR is desirable, but not essential, with sufficient relevant experience.
