About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Managing Director the role of the People Manager for ghd hair is to oversee the Human Resource and Training functions of the business to assist in achieving commercial outcomes. This role is part time (3 days per week or equivalent hours split across 4 days) and will offer support to all levels of the business which consists of approximately 70 staff members across Australia and New Zealand. The People Manager will lead a dynamic tightknit team of 2 and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up to execute initiatives or day to day requirements.

About the Role:

  • HR Support to the senior leadership team
  • Partner with managers to support employee performance, ensure consistency and develop talent
  • Support business growth with talent attraction and recruitment
  • Championing exciting changes in organisational culture
  • Working on employee retention and recognition programs
  • Providing HR advice to leaders
  • Monitor and manage people metrics: Attendance, Turnover, Development, Succession Planning, Recruitment etc
  • Manage  performance discussions and processes throughout the business and manage behaviour that does not align with the organisation’s strategy

About you:

  • 2 years' experience in a HR management role
  • A degree in HR or a relevant field preferable
  • Experience managing performance of field based staff
  • Able to get into the nitty gritty of day to day operations then flex up to support business strategic plans.
  • Excellent time management, stress management and people management experience;
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, ambitious, organised, resilient and adaptable – are attributes synonymous with this role.
  • Organisational change management and project implementation experience is a big plus.
