Our Opportunity

The Recruitment Team leader:

  • Leads and manages a dynamic and fast paced team delivering end-to-end recruitment services.
  • Provides accurate and up to date recruitment advice to work areas in line with legislative and policy requirements. 
  • Liaises with business areas across the department to develop innovative recruitment plans in line with recruitment best practice to attract candidates to fill vacancies across the department.
  • Monitor selection activities to ensure compliance with recruitment policies and legislated requirements.
  • Manage the effective implementation of the department’s online recruitment system to ensure the system is fit for purpose and provides quality data and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders through the provision of accurate advice and the development of stakeholder relationships across the department.
  • Contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of recruitment policies, systems and processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Foster a positive culture that values innovation and new ideas.

The Graduate Coordinator:

  • Manages and coordinates the departmental graduate program.
  • Coordinates all key aspects of the graduate program including onboarding, orientation, rotations, learning and development, networking opportunities and mentoring arrangements.
  • Provides ongoing advice and support to graduate program participants and their supervisors regarding the program, program requirements and providing policy guidance to graduates and their supervisors.
  • Explores and implements opportunities for review, evaluation and innovation across the graduate program.

The Employment Programs Project Officer:

  • Is responsible for the design, implementation and continual development of the Employment Programs recruitment project under the broad guidance of the Assistant Director, Employment Programs.
  • Manage project procurement activities including developing documentation, managing the selection of providers, ensuring contract compliance, and cost recovery aspects.
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to gather evidence to inform the development and implementation of a comprehensive project plan and assist in the comprehensive implementation. 
  • Drive project implementation, identifying and harnessing efficiencies at every stage of the project. 
  • Communicate project outcomes to internal and external stakeholders whilst effectively managing project expectations.

Who we are looking for

Successful applicants will have:

  • An understanding of Government recruitment and selection legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated excellent stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to understand challenges from different perspectives.
  • A demonstrated ability to problem solve and think on your feet with an appetite for innovation and continual improvement.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively, with a team-oriented approach and an ability to understand other work area priorities and objectives.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to internal and external audiences at all levels.
  • Qualifications in Human Resource Management or relevant experience is highly desirable.
