Senior People & Culture Advisor

 

Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry.  In May 2023, BFG acquired the Monbeef processing facility based in Cooma at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Monbeef s a world-class processing plant taking quality beef from South Eastern Australia to the nation and the world.

Job Description

Due to an internal move, we have a vacancy for a Senior People & Culture Advisor. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will partner with site leaders to provide guidance and advice across the employee life-cycle. You will be the main point of contact for all things HR for the site as well as supporting injured workers in their rehabilitation and return to work. The role will be supported by the Group Head of P&C and operate as part of the broader Bindaree Food Group P&C team.

Key responsibilities for the position include:

  • Providing authoritative guidance and advice to leaders and team members across the employee life-cycle, including employee benefits, leave policies, employee performance, conduct issues, grievances, investigation and the interpretation of awards
  • Supporting various HR initiatives, including engagement activities, employer branding, employee recognition programs, workforce planning and performance appraisals.
  • Coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities in a timely manner, inclusive of inductions and onboarding.
  • Partnering with the production and quality teams to ensure work instructions are accurate and team members are suitably trained.
  • Supporting WorkCover claim management and RTW
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Group Head of P&C, ensuring timely resolution of matters, and provide essential project, administration, reporting, and other support as necessary
  • Overseeing the accuracy of the HR Information System (ELMO) and Training system (iLeader), ensuring accurate records are kept throughout the employee life cycle
