We are currently seeking a motivated, organised and experienced People & Culture Officer National to join our team at our Head Office in Broadbeach.

Reporting into the Manager People & Culture, this position is a national support role, responsible for providing comprehensive assistance in various human resource functions, including a high level of data generation and analytics.

The position involves liaison across all areas and levels of the organisation and the successful candidate will utilise excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy to ensure positive and productive relationships are established and maintained.

Key Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Managing and owning the employee life cycle, and associated systems and processes.
  • Preparing and analysing data, using Excel, for HR metric reporting on a monthly, and ad hoc basis, including board report presentations.
  • Providing daily operational support to the catering centres on various HR related areas including, recruitment, performance management, discipline and terminations.
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with leaders and team members across the business.
  • Completing all administrative tasks including HR & Payroll related support.
  • Management of working rights and associated Visa processes, and police clearances.
  • Lead projects within the team or support larger/more complex projects.
  • Work closely with Compliance to ensure training records are accurate and up to date.
  • Managing system providers to maintain data integrity and front-end user experience.
  • Review the generated HR documents / reports to ensure accuracy of the information.
  • Manage recruitment, applying sound selection practices and methodologies to attract and appoint top talent into the business, coaching managers throughout the process.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR and a combination of relevant industry experience and knowledge, with a strong generalist background.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentially and professionalism in all circumstances.
  • Proven HR advisory experience, and understanding of relevant HR related legislation, regulations and industrial instruments such as Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and attention detail in an ever-changing busy work environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own time effectively
  • Highly proficient in the use of systems, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • High degree of initiative, and demonstrates a “will do” attitude.
  • Ability to deal with differing personalities and cultures and to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Outstanding verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised disposition with a strong administrative skills set
