The Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Work Health & Safety Manager to join a progressive and dynamic organisation, that considers leadership important.

The Work Health & Safety Manager will provide best practice advice, policies and procedures to deliver strong entity wide compliance with current Northern Territory Legislation and Australian Standards to regional and remote organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement, maintain and continuously improve WH&S management systems
  2. Drive and influence the implementation of best practice WH&S processes
  3. Provide timely and effective WH&S advice to multiple clients
  4. Carry out WH&S legislative compliance/audit activities
  5. Incident investigation, reporting and management
  6. Hazard identification, risk assessment and control analysis
  7. Undertake and coordinate WH&S training and workshop programs
  8. To be a leader and be able to demonstrate leadership in WH&S Activities
  9. WH&S reporting to Clients
  10. Demonstrate and provide WH&S leadership to Latitude12 and their Clients

Selection Criteria

  1. BSB51315 - Diploma of Work Health and Safety (or equivalent) or at least a BSB41415 - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  2. TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  3. As a minimum, a HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid
  4. Incident Investigation Qualifications
  5. Return to Work Qualification/Experience
  6. Demonstrated experience with implementation of WH&S management systems and processes
  7. Extensive knowledge of harmonised Australian WH&S Legislation
  8. The ability to build relationships with all levels of organisations and clients
  9. Strong communication and organisational skills
  10. A minimum of 5-7 years hands-on WH&S experience
  11. Desirable, but not essential - Experience working in the Local Government, Council & Community Services or trade/maintenance industries
