MaxiTRANS is also a leader in trailer repair and service support to the Australasian transport industry as well as being a significant supplier of parts through retail brand, MaxiPARTS.

Based in Ballarat, and reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor Ballarat is a member of broader HSE Team, responsible for providing Health and Safety support to the Team and the wider Ballarat manufacturing site.  

Key responsibilities of the role will be but not limited to:

  • Apply and further develop personal knowledge, experience and skills in Health and Safety;
  • Interacting with the manufacturing team;
  • Coaching and mentoring the manufacturing team in Health and Safety (as or when required);
  • Develop knowledge of the MyOSH Electronic Health and Safety Management System;
  • Participate and where required lead ICAM Investigations;
  • Develop HSE Alerts and site wide communications;
  • Support Return to Work processes in conjunction with Injury and Wellbeing Specialist;
  • Conduct HSE training, including inductions of staff and contractors, as required;
  • Complete risk assessments and JSA's or support their development; and
  • Assist with the review of SOP's and Work Instructions.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS
  • ICAM Lead Investigator would be highly regarded
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Minimum 3 year experience in the field of HSE, with in manufacturing or high-risk industry  
  • Current Driver's license
  • Construction Safety Awareness Training
  • Professional, strong verbal and written communication skills with engaging and effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
