About MRPV

Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) was established to deliver a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of key road projects across Victoria, including new roads, road widenings, new bridges and major freeway upgrades. MRPV manages complex and strategically important road projects from business case development through to completion connecting local communities and supporting Victoria's growing economy.

The Role

The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for leading the development of people strategies across MRPV, whilst collaborating with counterparts across the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) to influence people related activities and decision making.

As part of MRPV's Safety and Wellbeing department, you will lead the HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition and Organisation Development teams in meeting the varied HR requirements of MRPV's ongoing programs.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Partner with leaders across MRPV to influence and drive excellence in all aspects of people management.
  • Provide robust and thoughtful advice to the Director, Safety & Wellbeing and Executive Team in relation to resourcing, as well as team and organisational structures and capabilities.
  • Lead investigations in relation to complex employee relations and case management issues, ensuring adherence with Victorian Public Sector policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting is provided as required.
  • Lead the application of the performance management system and encourage continual improvement through coaching, training and feedback.

This is a 3 year, fixed term position.

About you

Ideally, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary best practice people and culture strategies and initatives
  • Extensive experiece in organisational development programs that drive ongoing organisational change
  • Extensive exerience in workplace relations and case management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
