About the role:

We have a fantastic 12 month maximum term opportunity available for a HR professional who has a strong eagerness to learn and be challenged in a fast past and growing environment. You will be required to provide HR support towards multiple HR functions across NSW and become part of the National People and Culture team where we have great profile of projects over the next 12 months.
  
Reporting into the HR Business Partner for NSW, you will provide day to day operational and administrative support including recruitment and employee transactions (on-boarding and contract variations).
  
Operational requirements also include ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests as directed by the HR Business Partner NSW.

In this role you will be accountable for:    
  • Delivering value-added service to management and employees
  • Providing guidance and advice on general HR enquiries across the state
  • Recruitment activities including writing and posting job ads, shortlisting candidates, communicating with candidates, creating talent pools, setting up interviews, telephone screening.
  • Managing all contract variations, parental leave and separation requests
  • Informing and processing all HR transactions to payroll in a timely manner
  • Creating and maintaining employee files and records
  • Ensuring accurate and up to date data entry in HR systems
  • Calculating long service leave entitlements and managing WorkCover claims
  • Generating HR reports
  • Embracing and supporting the Group HR strategy
Ideally you will bring the role:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related area
  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and NES (relevant legislation)
  • General knowledge of HR processes and best practice
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt and work under strict time frames and still maintain focused
  • Confidence to work autonomously
