Reporting to the Group Manager Human Resources and a member of the wider Group People & Safety Team, you will work closely with leadership teams at two different Plants (Pukeuri and Smithfield) providing operational HR support and advice to managers and supervisors in the central region. This varied and busy role delivers HR strategy, driving plant performance and operational success, supporting plant teams to manage positive employment relations. You will work closely with the Recruitment & Training Managers and be involved in ‘everything HR’ from coaching, talent development, change leadership, performance management and all aspects of employee relations.

We seek an experienced and resilient HR leader who is a strong team player, with a 'can-do' attitude and demonstrated success building relationships across all levels of an organisation. Critical to this role is the ability to develop strong business partner relationships with plant management in the region to deliver great people and business outcomes. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced operational environment, enjoy coaching people managers, have extensive experience across the range of HR activities, with preferably some experience in an industrial or manufacturing related sector.

The successful candidate will ideally be based at either the Pukeuri or Smithfield plant, with travel required between each site. Applicants who wish to be based at the Christchurch office may also apply, with regular travel to both plants required.
