This full time position as the Human Resources and Safety Coordinator, reports directly to the People & Safety Manager, ISS Brisbane Airport, and is responsible for partnering with the site leaders in driving and implementing the Human Resources and Workplace Health & Safety function and initiatives across the ISS Brisbane Airport Contract. This role will provide efficient and effective innovations that will drive continual improvement from a People, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and regulatory compliance perspective.  This includes being involved in operational and strategic projects. This role is an advocate for the ISS Vision and is a key part of ISS achieving industry recognition of being ‘the world’s greatest service provider’.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance as required

  • Deliver customer service and relationship management

The Position:

  • Support the People & Safety Manager in partnering with the site leadership team in providing HR guidance, support and advice
  • Excellent understanding of Employee Relations including interpretation of Awards/Enterprise Agreements and performance/disciplinary management
  • Lead and coordinate the health & safety function across a large site
  • Ability to drive a Customer Service ethos with a large team in a highly compliant environment
  • Experience in delivering on the job training and implementing Learning & Development strategies
  • Experience in driving employee engagement activities and the ability to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and enhance employee retention
  • Proven ability to develop key stakeholder relations
  • Must be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with a passion for people
  • Exceptional organisation, planning and communication skills
  • Preferred experience within the Aviation Security industry

Minimum Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years HR related experience within a large scale workforce
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR and/or Health, Safety and Quality
  • Strong leadership skills - proven ability to influence others to a considered course of action – effective communication.
  • Operational planning
  • Well-honed customer relationship skills
  • Management of a diverse workforce in a highly regulated environment preferable
  • Proven ability to deliver to plan.
  • Customer Service care, control or management experience
  • Organised - outcome and deadline oriented.
  • High personal integrity.
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC
