About the business

The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) is a State Government body responsible for protecting, enhancing, and developing coastal Crown land from Point Impossible to Cumberland River. All funds raised through our commercial endeavours are reinvested back into the coast.

We also manage the Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park, Anglesea Family Caravan Park and Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park, as well as the Port of Lorne.

On 1 December 2020, GORCC will transition into and become part of a newly formed independent statutory authority, the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA).

Over time, GORCAPA will assume responsibility for management of all public land along the length of the Great Ocean Road.

About the role

The People and Culture Manager is accountable for the provision of services in relation to human resources, employee records management, customer services and occupational health and safety by:

  • Providing advice to management in relation to these areas
  • Managing the relevant policies, services, systems and processes
  • Managing the measurement of organisational performance through the implementation of legislation, key performance indicators and relevant satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service to internal customers, service users and external stakeholders
  • Promoting a flexible, innovative and a team-based approach to service planning and delivery
  • Improve day to day organisational effectiveness through the development and implementation of people management practices which promote a safe, productive and respectful workplace which is aligned with the organisation’s cultural values.
