About the role

Stamford Hotels and Resorts is currently seeking a hands-on Human Resource professional to join our Adelaide Team, reporting into the Area Human Resource Manager in a lean close-knit team environment. The role performs a variety of generalist Human Resource duties as well as partnering with relevant stakeholders across both Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide properties.

A core focus on strategic talent management, oversight of employee relations matters whilst championing our rewards and recognition programs will be expected. As a people leader you will continuously explore best practice opportunities to improve our employer brand value and act as a sound advocate for change by presenting modern people focused initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have a drive for exceptional service experiences, clear communication skills and be an experienced recruiter, who proactively sources candidates and builds talent pools through various means.

Duties and Responsibilities include

  • Actively build and maintain strong relationships with relevant leaders, networking with all stakeholders across the properties
  • Advise and coach senior leaders on policies, procedures and best practice principles
  • Partner with relevant hiring manager throughout the recruitment, talent identification and selection process, end to end lifecycle management
  • Strategic oversight of planned resource needs as per operational demand
  • Oversee and mange staff onboarding activities including staff compliance training and annual recurrency training
  • Guide senior leaders on appraisal processes to drive excellence and heightened performance
  • Fortnightly payroll processing troubleshooting
  • Work injury claim management
  • In conjunction with senior leaders ensure WHS and risk management are compliant

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (desirable)
  • Return to Work Coordinator trained (desirable)
  • A solid background as a HR generalist/coordinator coupled with the exposure to business partner
  • Good understanding of Australian employment legislation and experience in leading employee relations cases
  • Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Enjoy working in a fast moving and dynamic environment
