The Finance Operations branch within our Finance Division at ActewAGL, is looking for a motivated, and highly focused individual to join the team as the Finance Officer.

Reporting to the Manager Accounts Payable and Finance Administration, you will play a key role in supporting the ActewAGL Joint Venture to achieve their business objectives through performing financial processes, including raising purchase orders, receipting and liaising with internal stakeholders towards continuous improvements.

Your day in the role:

  • Management of inbox, which needs to be maintained and actioned daily
  • Raise Purchase orders, BPA and releases for the Evo business and support Corporate and Retail
  • Monthly reporting requirements
  • Follow up suppliers to ensure timely payment and processing of their invoices
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholder for accuracy in PPE & PPC database
  • Provide support to the financial accountants from time to time
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of quality systems and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with employees across the business to provide financial and administrative support.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Proven understanding of Accounting (Diploma in Accounting) Finance, purchasing or previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
  • Experience in financial and budget related disciplines.
  • Experience in a financial role.
  • Experience in exercising sound judgement in the application of policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in using IT systems, and the ability to extract information and prepare reports.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated time management and planning skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
