General Manager, People & Culture

People are at the heart of everything we do at Barossa Village.  A not for profit, community owned organisation, Barossa Village has provided aged care services to the Barossa region since 1964, including retirement living, in-home care, supported accommodation and residential care.

Working together with our residents, clients, employees, volunteers, contractors, family members and friends, we all contribute in a unique way to an organisation of which we are very proud.

Through continued growth, with staff numbers over 270, an asset base of over $70m and revenue approaching $20m, the organisation is now looking to fill a newly created role of General Manager, People & Culture. A member of the Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to the CEO, this role will have responsibility for:

  • Leading, managing, motivating and further developing the staff and fostering a strong customer service culture
  • Developing, implementing and embedding key strategic acquisition and retention solutions
  • Performance reporting on the organisation’s overall strategic plan
  • Implementing strategic cultural initiatives that support leaders to drive success based teams that deliver person centred quality outcomes.

Working at Barossa Village comes with many benefits, including flexible work hours and Salary Packaging options.

The successful candidate will be an appropriately qualified senior manager with the ability to assist in leading the organisation through its next phase of growth, diversification and expansion. Aged care experience is not a pre-requisite for this position although an understanding of the challenges facing the sector will be of benefit.

Excellent leadership skills, sound commercial acumen and an innovative approach to driving culture and highly developed interpersonal skills will be critical to ensure success in this role.

A competitive executive remuneration package will be offered to secure a proven leader committed to working in one of Australia’s most successful regions offering genuine lifestyle benefits.

If you have a passion for working with people and possess the drive and enthusiasm to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

Please submit your cover letter and resume to carolch@barossavillage.org and direct any enquiries to Carol Chipman, on 8562 0300.
