People and Culture Manager
Gourmet Basket is a multi award winning online gift retailer delivering happiness Australia wide.
As a result of a newly created position, we are seeking a passionate and motivated People and Culture Manager to join our team. This will be a part-time position with flexible hours working the equivalent of 3 days per week.
This is a unique opportunity to grow the HR function from its grass roots and develop and implement progressive HR strategies.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Developing people & culture policies and procedures;
- Developing and managing the induction and onboarding process;
- Documenting processes, creating checklists and developing training and development modules;
- Coordinating and conducting recruitment and selection activities, including bulk seasonal recruitment campaigns;
- Developing the performance management system and facilitating performance review sessions;
- Supporting leaders with performance management, KPI management and accountability of direct reports;
- Advising staff on general queries and policy interpretations;
- Be an internal champion of company culture;
- Deliver engagement activities including employee recognition programs and regular communications across the business;
- Organising extra curricular activities for the team such as events, parties, learning experiences and team building opportunities to ensure a fun working atmosphere;
- Ownership and management of our HR software;
- Oversee management of office facilities.
Qualifications and experience
- Passionate about making a difference with great people skills;
- Bachelor degree in Management or HR;
- A minimum 5 years experience in a HR role;
- A doer, gets things done;
- Process orientated with excellent documentation skills;
- Experience in ecommerce or retail highly desirable;
- Confident public speaking;
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on taking action;
- Motivation to develop your career and see challenges as opportunities;
- Outgoing personality to lift culture of the team
As we are a seasonal business, we are seeking someone with flexibility to do some increased hours to support bulk recruitment campaigns during the Christmas period.
